'Bohemian' Kolkata India

http://www.chefjoybanerjee.com/

One of the 4 J's ate with two friends at a fantastic fusion restaurant in Ballygunge Place, Kolkata, India in December 2014.
Fusion cooking doesn't always work but the chef at Bohemian is brilliant at combining indian spices in a Western style.
Dishes included local fish in mustard sauce, lamb with black pepper & a spicy cream mixed veg dish.
Two desserts were shared - Malpua cheesecake & Gandharaj lemon souffle.
Probably one of the best and most innovative restaurants in Kolkata!

One of the 4 J's visited here towards the end of 2014 and highly recommended it!

The Rooftop Restaurant at the RSC Stratford upon Avon

Monday 22nd December 2014

One of the 4 J's dined alone before going to see a performance at The Swan Theatre. Both the food and service were excellent and there was a nice 'buzzy' atmosphere which made dining alone comfortable. The starter of smoked salmon and main of butternut squash risotto was chosen along with a glass of house red.

The Cowshed Ice cream parlour & Bistro

Wednesday 10th December 2014

Three of the 4 J's plus guest visited The Cowshed on a cold December lunchtime.
We were welcomed by a lovely log burner but sadly prime spot was already taken so we were unable to sit by it.
We all opted for the same lunch which was a very tasty homemade macaroni cheese with sausage.
We were also given a few delicious tasters of the ice cream which were yummy!

We would recommend and return....
