The Moorings @ Dale
A restaurant with a view......
Chilli roasted feta en croute, olive tapenade, basil emulsion & water melon sorbet..
Pan roasted scallops, smoked bacon, peas & salad leaves..
Chicken liver parfait with balsamic jelly, toasted ciabatta, red onion marmalade and salad..
Roasted field mushroom, thyme, confit garlic, peanuts, blue cheese, sauce vierge..
Fishermans pie with cod, prawns & mussels topped with creamy mashed potatoes and market vegetables..
Roasted cod fillet wrapped in bacon with provencal vegetables, fondant potatoes and salsa verdi..
Welsh cheese board with 4 cheeses, home made chutney & cheese biscuits..
White chocolate panacotta with summer fruits & biscotti..
Lemon custard creme brule with Welsh strawberries & vanilla ice cream..
Mocha white chocolate delice with vanilla cream and chocolate ice cream..
Drinks were soft drinks, water was brought to the table and we ended the lunch with a pot of coffee.
Our thoughts at the end of a very relaxing lunch (with the odd distraction of a boat arriving at the pontoon which was part of the fabulous view we enjoyed) were that the food & service were excellent....a tiny criticism...the quality of the background music could be improved but the couple running the place deserve success!
